Octopus cancelled our eco 7 then denied it ever existed, overcharged, messed up bills, fobbed off

No - I have no links whatsoever with Octopus. I have had my issues with them over the past 5 years, and they have always responded positively and made sure that I all outcomes never left me out of pocket.Mulbin said:

I think that you are being a bit harsh. I have been with Octopus for 5 years and like all suppliers they get things wrong. I have never been out of pocket as a result. FWiW, Flux is working extremely well for me and many others.Mulbin said:
We'd love to go on to Flux... but how can we when Octopus can't carry out a simple transition to dual tariff in the first place?Raxiel said:Mulbin said:
Not when you have solar panels its not! Sadly Octopus Go was no longer available without an EV.Keep_pedalling said:If you have gas heating why E7 for electricity? it is likely the most expensive option.
We don't touch the national grid during the day.Do you also have a battery? We have PV, and it's helped reduce our import, but we still definitely do most of our importing during the day period. remains to be seen how things change over the summer, but over the last 6 months of winter since the install our night usage has been 12% of the total. Most of that usage occurring between 5pm and midnight.Go might not be an option for you, but why not Agile? Or Flux?
Once we get this sorted (if ever) we will apply for flux definitely, but we need to see they can actually carry out a basic process first.
How am I being harsh... I'm just stating the facts of what has occured, and is now with the ombudsman. Odd response. Do you work for Octopus?

From my recent communications with their customer service they seem to be on the same level as the other big 5 incompetants, probably due to them taking on toooooooo many customers and not properly training the agents [if this ever happens].Mulbin said:

I have emails with absolutely no punctuation or paragraphs and have to read through a couple of times to get the gist of what the agent is trying to state, possibly foreign centres?0 -

That's what the references to flows are and its not necessarily that simple.Switching to flux works with the meter configured in either single or E7 rates, all it needs is a smart meter on 30 minute readings. As it's an internal Octopus product, it doesn't require any third party network involvement. My meter is configured for E7 and still changes over between the two rates every 7/17 hours but flux doesn't actually use it.Took about 2 days to switch from the SVT & Outgoing fixed, and saved us about £23 this May.3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). My solar ‘gain’ last month amounted to a credit of £139.50.Yeah, it's been an E7 house since it was built, although we've had tariffs that charge the same flat rate for both periods for almost all of our occupancy. I used to like having it because I could easily see what our day/night split was in the event it became more profitable (it never did).I might have wanted it to just record everything on a single register now, rather than having two unconnected ToU measurements, but I doubt it would be worth the faff (doubly so with the issues faced by the OP). Perhaps if we're still here when the current meter's certification expires we can ask then and get done the same time all registers get reset to 0.That's a pretty good credit. The high and low peaks of flux didn't seem to amount to much in the grand scheme of things (or canceled out neatly) for us, and the final total ended up within a few pence what it would have been if we'd just had the SVT for import and a fixed 21.4p export rate.3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). That is superb news (that I wish Octopus had given me), I may well just jump straight on to flux a give up getting them to do their job with dual tariff!Raxiel said:Mulbin said:
