Direct debits for switch .....

I KNOW this has been done to death but we've left it a bit late and for some reason I have trouble searching the threads on this site ....

Due to trips abroad we only have a short time left to do two DDs on the Santander switching incentive for my partner.

As most of our bills are in my name its difficult to find one to move across  - done a Moneybox saver but, avoiding charities, which are the next fastest to set up?

Thanks and sorry again!

Yep. It's another pseudo-savings account (no FSCS protection unlike Moneybox, not that it matters for these pifflingly small amounts).
  • Just looking into it ..... seems like its based on an 'autosave'  for 'extra' cash  - but we dont want it doing that ....can it be set up just to DD say £1 /week or something which can then be withdrawn?

Yep. Turn off all the 'Round Ups' and 'Automatic' features in the "Brain" and add either 'Weekly Depositor' or 'Pay Days' (which can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly). This is what I use to satisfy the '2 x £2 DD' requirements every month on one of my Natwest Group Reward accounts.

Can plum takes DD from more than 1 account such as a TSB and an RBS account?

Not from the same login. I don't know if you can get multiple with separate emails however.

Fortnightly £1 would be enough for Blue Rewards, can't remember off the top of my head if Plum has a minimum deposit however.

Thanks everyone  -  manged to set up both Plum and Money box - but they BOTH seem to use the same organisation to collect payments 'GC re Moneybox' and 'GC re PLUM'

I know DDs to the same organisation haven't qualified with some banks in the past?
Does any one know how Santander will treat these?

Struggling to find another DD to set up quickly enough .... any more suggestions just in case?

    Thanks in advance
