Double Glazing - 19 Windows

Hi All

Anyone know what sort of price I will be looking at to replace 19 double glazed windows? Also any recommendations around the Camberley (Surrey) area of companies would be much appreciated. Thanks

Depends very much on size, style, and whether scaffolding is required. White uPVC will be the cheapest, but if you want aluminium/steel Crittall, expect to pay through the nose.

Just don't go to the likes of Anglian or Everest unless you enjoy the hard sell and overpriced quotes - Some of their installations leave much to be desired in terms of quality and after sales support.

We paid £16k last year for our 3 bed semi to be entirely replaced with pvc windows (x9), including a pvc back door, aluminium bifold and the pvc porch replacement. That was in Surrey/Greater London, from a small local firm. That was for coloured (one side) windows as well. Our windows are pretty big in terms of area but we kept costs down by keeping the design simple (ie no dummy sashes). 

We avoided the big names as above and searched for local companies with good reviews, which would be all I could recommend to you.

Get a ballpark figure from tradeframe.com.  They might or might not cover your area, but their web site includes a pricing app which doesn’t require you to input contact details.  At least then you have a figure to work on.

10 windows (three are tilt and turn) and one french door, just under £6k last summer. South West. Used local and had 3 quotes.
