I live in the South East where the water is hard. I like using filtered water like Brita Maxtra.. but would like to save money.
Phox do refillable cartridges which are a start but I'm thinking of taking it further.

Could I just refill the cartridges with this resin?

That stuff is for softening in products like Scale Stop, not for filtering drinking water. Screwfix do a drinking water filter tap with replaceable filters for not much money.Bradden said:I live in the South East where the water is hard. Thanks... I'd really like to source deionising resin suitable for drinking water. I'm in a rental property so cannot change tapes.Mutton_Geoff said:

No, you need to use the filters.

You are drinking it so it would not be sensible to nit use the approved filters.
Or even easier just drink the tap water straight, it might even be better for you with all the minerals in it .0 -
We've got a water filter jug that takes the old cylindrical cartridges. You can buy compatible cartridges for a couple of quid each, and you don't have to change them every month.N.
