Afternoon everyone
I didn't get on yesterday as I had little one for the day as DD went to Newcastle for the day with friends - it was her 24th birthday. We had a lovely day even though it included soft play in the morning! Not my favourite place but worth putting up with as little one had a great time - she came with money 'to buy you a hot chocolate granny.'
After lunch we made her decorated egg for the competition at nursery - first she wanted to make a rat (!) and then thought a mouse might be nicer and then decided we needed to make a clock so it could be Hickory Dickory Dock. She really concentrated and made a really good job of it. Then we went out for a walk with her balance bike and ended up at the little park nearby where she had a great time as some of her friends were there too. Spaghetti bolognese, a bath and some stories and fast asleep by 7pm.
For the first time for months she stayed in her own bed all night and didn't wake me till almost 7 this morning. We've been done to mam and dads and DD picked her up from there so I've got a very peaceful afternoon ahead. Today is mam and dads 63rd wedding anniversary.
It was drizzly here first thing but it's brightening up now so I might do some tidying in the back garden.
Hope everyone has a good day today x

I'm in a very bad mood this afternoon and there is a certain cat skulking around in disgrace!! I was moving money around to pay the caravan site fees earlier, turned my back and returned to find Sparkle sitting on the keyboard!! Aaargh when I turfed her off I found she had deactivated the curser! Not being too computer savvy I can't fix it but, in desperation, I fished out an old USB mouse and with fingers crossed I tried that. Well it means I can shuffle about a bit but I had forgotten what hard work a mouse is! I am now going to try and download a troubleshooter and try and fix it. I am not holding out a lot of hope. Grr! Any suggestions welcome!

Hi everyone,
Nanny, i hope you feel better soon, I've read that trigeminal neuralgia is really painful.
Gers, about twenty years ago I was told that my eyesight had become so poor I qualified for free eye tests which was a bit of a shock. When I told Steve his response was to say "Result". I was not impressed.
We had a late start today, mainly because Laura didn't get home from her party till 2am (new time). I had an unhappy little girl because although she took her milk from the cup earlier in the evening she was obviously wanting mummy at bedtime. Then Esben, who had been asleep since 8 came downstairs at 1.00 and cuddled up on the settee watching In the Night Garden till Laura got home. She said that she wouldn't have gone but it was her BFF's 40th so she couldn't miss it.
She took the children out this afternoon to give us a break. Brian is back tomorrow so I hope he is ready to look after them more this week.
Roast chicken tonight.
Have a good evening.
