Good morning, thanks for starting Gers. It's grey and damp here, yesterday was the same, there were intermittent showers most of the day.I had to go into Durham yesterday to one of the banks that we don't have here anymore, but I didn't linger, came straight back. I didn't even go into the indoor market, unusual for me.We are washing things from the caravan, crockery and pans etc,so there's a pile to go back today. I'll give the cupboards a quick clean as well.Have you started your wardrobe sort out TA? I love going through my things, sorting and tidying, then maybe rearranging. What that says about me I don't know, hope it's nothing bad.I wish this gloomy weather would change, it's so depressing - I don't think the week ahead has to be much better. However, we'll plod on.Hope everyone has as good a day as they can today - take care folks.12

It's grey and damp here too. Yesterday I had a glorious drive down to Glasgow. Bright cold sunshine, no rain or wind and the lochs were all flat and calm, some where like mirrors.I had enough time to refuel my car before getting the subway into town. Then I refuelled myself with a coffee in a wee cafe inside a big bank - yes it's a bit odd. Bank staff talk to their customers at the cafe tables. My eye and contact lenses appointment took longer than I expected, mostly because my left eye is much worse than last year. It's a slow trot to cataract surgery. After that shock I then chose new glasses and also bought new Polaroid sunglasses for driving. I have to return in about three weeks to trial new contact lenses which need to have a particular way of fitting. More blooming age-related stuff. For a wee while I was rather upset by it, then decided that there wasn't any point so gathered myself together, got the subway back to my car and went to Marks. Salad and chicken hit my trolley and I successfully battered away all the other stuff. 😀I have no idea about today. If the rain holds off, and that's rather unlikely, I may go for a short walk. The canal has been 're-watered' so should look rather good.Whilst British Summertime has arrived actual summer hasn't yet, I'm getting impatient. 🌞
Happy Sunday to all.14 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. The clock change seems to be bringing winter back again. The heating is back on again this morning, after a couple of days reprieve. I wish spring and summer lasted as long as autumn and winter, which seem to have gone on forever this time.
No SCARLET the clothes clear out didn't happen! I decided I couldn't be bothered trying stuff on and making a decision as to whether they should stay or go! Another day!
Plans fluid for today so will end up another Slothful Sunday I suppose. Cottage pie base out of the freezer for lunch, so just a bit of mash to make to top it and then prep a few veg.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14 -

Morning all. So much for summer. Weather forecast says it's going to rain in Kent until at least 2pm this afternoon!! Nothing planned today. Tesco delivery due in an hour or so. Chinese chicken curry for dinner and England footie match later.I'm with you @TA re sorting out wardrobes. Bad enough vacuum packing the winter stuff and getting out the summer stuff in a few months. Saying that Steptoe's yard (our garage) was given a bit of a move round yesterday by DH to make room for having a new garage door put on in a week or so. We can then get a skip and open said garage door and have a good clear out.Right, I'd better get washed and dressed for the Tesco delivery, don't want to give the driver a fright.Have a peaceful day all x13

Morning all from a wet Kent. Eldest son and wife coming today for lunch, but we won’t be able to have a seaside walk I don't think.
more garden pottering going on here to sow stuff for allotment.

Hello all, after a night of wind and rain we now have the calm before the storm as it's all due back soon. I had a very productive day yesterday but then my health took a dive and I have a Trigeminal neuralgia flare up. I have no idea why it's happened or how long it will last but it's very painful. Hopefully the meds will kick in and calm it down a bit but of course they make me more dozy than normal.
Take care all, stay safe and well
nan xx

Morning again. A question for you all. How do you put a pic on your profile please? I've gone to my profile and have even googled it but no luck. Thanks in advance.
