Balance Transfer for 0%

Just wondering how long a balance transfer takes? We're buying new kitchen worktops (cash is available) but just wondering about paying by card (cashback card) and then transferring the balance to a new 0% card. Obviously timings would need sorting as I would need to pay initially as soon after the purchasing card payment date as possible with new card in place and inside the 0% window. The cash would then go into an interest paying account. Income would pay the monthly payments.

Would you be better purchasing with a 0% purchase card?
First Direct have one for 17 months at 0%.
You'd need a FD current account too but that's easy enough and it would also then give you access to their 7% regular saver.
EDIT: Apologies. I see your are purchasing with a cashback card.1 -
That might work thanks. Less faffing and a long fee free timedenow said:Would you be better purchasing with a 0% purchase card?

Also check if your bank are doing 0% balance transfer for current customers only.
I just got a new Barclaycard with 0% fee for balance transfer but I don't think it's available to everyone.0
