Evening All,
Looking to get the Barclays Blue Rewards savings account. Got a current account setup and just noticed I need to pay in £800pm for Blue Rewards. Does anyone know if I can just set up a SO for £800pm to Barclays on say the 1st of each month, pay a couple of DDs with it then another setup another SO back to my main account?
Thanks,
J

That should work ok.
I do my £800ish in/out manually on the 3rd working day of a month.1 -
It just has to be paid in at some point within the month, there is no requirement on how long it has to remain there. I pay £800 in and out again within a couple of minutes at the beginning of the month, no point leaving money in a non interest bearing account for a few days.Swoosh84 said:
Thanks Band - So do you just pay it in straight away on the 3rd and then remove same day? Was thinking of just transferring on say the 1st, then out on say the 5th.Band7 said:That should work ok.

Thanks Both - Follow up question with regards to the DDs. I have one specific DD for my daughters gymnastics. It appears on my list of direct debits as one DD. But its actually for two seperate classes. They are both collected under the same DD on the same day but appear as two seperate transactions. Will that count as two DDs?

Does it come out as two transactions? If so, it will count. Note that this doesn't apply to all banks that have direct debit requirements, but it does work with BarclaysI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1

Yes, not just the same day but could be in the same minutes. As soon as you see your £800 in Barclay you could easily move it back. Do not forget you also need to pay £5 while you will still need 2DDs to get £5

Hi, does anyone know if the £800 has to be in one go. I've just setup a rainy day saver's account for my Dad. He has at least 2 DDs coming out from his current account but his pension is paid weekly into the same current account. If yes, could he then also shift the some of the pension money to the rainy savers account as soon as he gets it deposited.I looked up the T&C and can't find anything to help.0
