RingGo app "an error occurred"

Hi all
Has anyone else encountered problems using the RingGo app lately? I've tried to use it twice in the last week - I get all the way through - car, site, card details all fine, tap 'pay' and then it just says "an error has occurred" and I have to call the super annoying phone line and try to pay that way instead. The "help" person on the Ring Go app said it could be due to banks not allowing the payment through (higher standards of security or something), but when I last used it in November it was all fine.
Thanks

I've not personally used RingGo or any other app as I try to avoid using any car park that is infested with ex-clamping scammers. You will, however, find here many victims that have fallen foul of this app and others and have had to defend claims against them.4

I wouldn't ever use an app to pay in any private car park, because it's almost bound to take more than 5 minutes from the point of driving in past the camera, to finally actually paying.
And these apps make an assumption re the default vehicle which causes loads of private scam PCNs. People pay in good faith for the wrong car.
It is a disgrace that the worst BPA and IPC AOS member bullyboys still think that app/keying errors are 'fair game' for £100 PCNs, despite the fact the new incoming Government Code tells them it isn't.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

One of my work colleagues used RingO, inputted the wrong VRM as he owns 2 cars. He got a PCN and contacted Ringo who got the company to wipe it.
I wouldn't use them myself. I've since stopped using PPC Pay carparks 4 years ago and even then it was a last resort if I couldn't find suitable free or local authority managed parking or park & ride schemes. I've even parked on the outskirts and taxi'd it to where I need to be. I'd rather pay a self employed cabbie than fund an unethical industry so really do my best to avoid them.

Yes I've had the same thing.... it just says error occurred. so I've deleted the app, re-uploaded re-added my cards and its the same. tried the Ringo 'chat' but it doesn't accept that the app isn't working.. says it must be my accounts. Cards are up to date. Went and used one in M&S and the the other one is WH Smiths they worked.... Ringo are crap, no customer service...feels like a scam !!1

I don't know why people use parking apps. They are so unreliable as to be dangerous to wealth.
Clearly I'm among a healthy majority:
