Elastic waterproof glue/adhesive (in larger quantities)?

Dear All,
For a specific project, I would like to glue vinyl click floor to a damp proof membrane, the area is 2.3m x 3m, so around 14 square meters, for example using a toothed trowel like for tile adhesive. There will be some movement of the floor, so it needs to be elastic. And there may occasionally run water through the joints of the vinyl click floor, so it needs to be waterproof.
I once used to have a glue for carpet, which came in a bucket and was elastic, but I can't remember what that was and I think it wasn't waterproof.
Does anyone have any ideas for this?

The biggest problem is that both Vinyl and damp proof membrane are non-porous. Most adhesives need one surface to be porous eg plaster, wood etc to allow them to dry by solvent evaporation.0

Hmm, thanks, good point. What about silicone type stuff. At least this sticks to non-porous surfaces (like sealant), but probably still needs to be able to 'breathe' to be able to dry...

I would look at something like Evostick Impact Adhesive in a spray but check first as Vinyl is virtually the only material not listed. Beware though it needs real care to use over a large area as only get one chance - instant grab and no possibility to change alignment.0

Vinyl click flooring is designed to be "floating", so shouldn't be glued down. If you are putting down a DPM (heavy gauge plastic sheet ?) and then the tiles on top, the whole lot will move around slightly anyway. If you want to glue down vinyl tiles, then you should use ones intended for that - The adhesive will need to be applied to a screed or timber floor, not directly on to a (plastic) DPM.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

I've bought some for my bathroom. Loose lay, waterproof with a built in underlay.FreeBear said:Vinyl click flooring is designed to be "floating", so shouldn't be glued down.
My brother used this adhesive recently for glue down type Vinyl flooring (downstairs loo).
It was stuck onto Themoplastic tiles.
Says it's very good but is waterbased so not sure about being waterproof.

The adhesive will turn to mush if water gets underneathdanrv said:

Thanks to all so far, I'm following this thread and the suggestions, but it seems there's no solution...0

What about adhesive foam? https://www.screwfix.com/p/dow-insta-stik-expanding-foam-grab-adhesive-gun-grade-750ml/72793Used some recently to make a platform to level off the bottom of a bath to sit a motorised seat onto. Laid polythene sheeting on the bath, applied a layer of foam and then weighed down a flat piece of plastic on top. I worried about it not setting, but was fine after 24 hours.0
