Does anyone have any experience of using the myjobquote.co.uk website. I have posted a job on it but it seems that i just get a random text message from someone saying that they can do the work. My worry is that there is no information about this person or reviews or previous experience comments about this person when i log in. Am i just meant to agree on the basis of a text saying that he can do it ? Am i using the website wrongly ? It just doesnt seem very helpful to me

sorry i have just found the email to log in and see previous reviews. There is only one review of this person from when he did a different type of work from what i am requesting. Do i take the risk ?? Ive had the job up for nearly a month now

Depends what sort of job and the consequences if it’s done wrong. If it was hosing down my garden slabs then I might use them. If it was building a conservatory then no. Have you tried to find someone by asking on your local pages on Facebook?0

And if you are covering more than 25% of the exterior, Building Regulations kick in - That may mean that you would have to fit wall insulation to meet minimum recommended thermal requirements.. Although, if this is just a patch & repair job, building regs won't apply. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
