Tesco's Inaccurate Receipts

Sorry I could not find a thread for this.
I recently placed an online order with Tesco's.
Part of it was for home and part was for work.
I had some vouchers so I decided to use them - simple I thought but didn't turn out that way.
I then got my receipt and could not make head nor tale of it.
All I needed was  a receipt which would accurately show the items I purchased for work so that I could submit my expenses.
It seems they have applied my clubcard vouchers across random product and the random product just to happen to include my work items.
After days of escalating and arguing they are flatly refusing to provide me with an accurate receipt which shows the full value of what I paid so for example if I purchased two items at £3 each and they have a buy two for £4 I mean the £4 and not £6.
My receipt shows two items are not £3 for the two instead of £4 so I can only submit a works receipt to the value of £3 making a loss of £1 for me.
Tesco say that they are unwilling and unable to give me a correct receipt and I should explain this to my employer.
Thoughts?
Certainly won't be doing that again and my car insurance is due - won't be renewing that with Tesco either.

But surely if you were to get your work to pay full price you are quids in?  Next time I’d just do two separate orders, not try and utilise any coupons or card reductions.

No, as I explained I am not after making a profit I just want what I paid.
If an item is £3 each and I ordered two that would be £6.
However if I they were on offer at two for £4 all I would want the receipt to show is £4 but it doesn't.
They have applied my clubcard vouchers in a random order (not across all products I have to say) so now instead of showing £4 it is actually showing £3.01 for the two items instead of £4.
I have no intention of ripping my company off (1) because I quite like my job and would like to keep it (2) I'm not that desperate to make a few quid.
Making two separate orders would incur 2 x delivery charges so I thought I'd be saving money.
A level hindsight is a wonderful thing.
The receipt is misleading and inaccurate.

If the items were £3 each, or buy two for £4 and you purchased two and paid £4. If you are trying to submit expenses for work for one of those items then the value is £2, not £3. The reason that they cannot give you a different receipt is that a different receipt would be incorrect, you did not pay £3 for one item and got the second item for £1, you got two items for £4.

Instead of you paying £3 to buy one, the benefits of the offer and of work buying the other one mean that you paid £2 for the one you got and your work paid £2 for the one they got, factually accurate.

If you tried to claim £3 for the item via expenses that could well be deemed making a fraudulent claim.
    Absolutely agree.
However in the example I gave the £3 items are now £2 (buy two for £4 so £2 each) but my receipt shows £3 for two items rather than £4. So each item is now £1.50 each rather than the offer which was buy two for £4.
I only want a receipt which shows that the two items were purchased at £4 (or £2 each).
Unfortunately Tesco think this is too difficult to do as they have taken my clubcard vouchers and spread them (discounted) across a few random items rather than take it off the whole bill.
BTW this was not exclusively a work shop. It was wholly mine and I tagged on some items which were needed at work.

The receipt is accurate as it shows the price paid for the item after all coupons and discounts. If you didn’t want work to benefit from the Clubcard voucher then you shouldn’t have used it in the same transaction.

I had this in store where I had £5 off when you spend £40 or similar and it took a few pence off every item to reflect the coupon saving making all the items cheaper.

    It’s not inaccurate at all?

Your option are, You either do 2 orders, one for work and one for personal or you shop instore for work for the few items and do your personal online or you don’t use any vouchers if you are splitting between work and personal.

Manager in husband's department got major rollocking for not submitting accurate receipts. He was told that yes, they could get audited and discrepancies would be picked up, however small.

Tesco seems really arrogant, whatever happened to the customer is right ?

@Chrissy21     Would you have been able to use the voucher if you hadn't included items for your workplace?  That is, did you need to make those additional purchases in order to get the order value up to the level where you could use the voucher?

The majority of the time they're not, such as in this case. It's a saying mainly used by customers that are in the wrong.

And also said by people who are arrogant and want everything their own way and seem to have no idea how things work in the real world. Tescos are not going to spend money changing a system that works for 99.9% of people.
When I use to buy items for work such as toilet rolls and coffee I would always put it through the till seperate to mine.  So the receipt could be kept for tax purposes.
