Transferring ownership of house after a divorce

Options
Trying to do divorce as fair, no expensive legal solicitors and fiction free for the kids sake.  Have agreed with ex they will have the house (mortgage free and joint tenants) and they will pay me half the value.  How do we update the land register so the house is showing in the ex's sole name?

It should just be a case of filling in the right forms and submitting them but given the amounts in question wouldn't it make sense to pay a solicitor a couple of hundred quid to do it on your behalf and then you know it's done properly?

Get a solicitor to sort the TR1. But before that - get a consent order in place which sets out what whil happen. It's a small cost if you are amicable (ex and I did ours via Wikivorce for £250 or so) and could save a lot of hurt in the long run.
