Hello all, the sun is out but it's raining too ! I finished my jigsaw yesterday but I seem to have lost a piece since I went to bed so I need to look for it. I may have caught it on my top and carried it around the house so goodness knows where it is, I'll have to go around on my hands and knees to find it !
My plans are fluid for today and I have taken a portion of hm sausage casserole out of the freezer, so I'll do jacket spuds (and veg for me) with it for tea.
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care all

Morning all, weather very mixed here.Up early to see DH off on his trip to the NEC car show with DB1 who is driving. Once he'd gone out I used the early start to get some housework done. DS1 is back from helping a mate out, they had to stay away Wed. night to break their journey in Wales. He will run me to pick up DGS later. We've had more heavy rain, which means the long school path which runs the length of the high school next doors football pitches will be awash. The water runs off the grass slope onto the path. Yesterday there was a 'puddle' about 8' long and 6 inches deep where the gate opening to the junior school is and lots of slippy mud and a big queue of parents, Gparents etc trying to get through, and 1 poor woman with a very young baby in a sling
. Guess who forgot her wellies, my suede boots are covered in mud! We thought we'd be clever and walk across the field instead, was ok until we got to the slope at the other end and we both started slipping, arms flailing
DGS grabbed me and I just avoided falling on my rear. It took me ages to clean his shoes
Not sure what to have for tea, DS didn't want the fish from last night as he was lateish back. I hadn't cooked his so I could freeze it. I have a pork tenderloin that I wanted for Sunday but BBD is tomorrow. If we have that I'll have to rethink Sunday.Right I've sat still long enough! Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -
Morning from a sunny but blustery mehefinland
Strong winds forecast for later so no doubt it wont be too bad. The weather people are scared to commit after the Michael Fish episode.
A busy day yesterday. Trustees meeting at our community library, followed by an architect's visit ( who was an hour late). Farrier in the afternoon in the rain , so by the end of the day was slightly cream crackered.
Today's entertainment so far has been a battle with the vacuum cleaner to put a new belt on after the other one jammed and burnt out. You need to be a contortionist with muscles like Tarzan to get it on. Sorted now...phew!!
Sad day in our little village today - 2 funerals. The first of an old chap with a 'lived in' face. Lovely old boy and was already to stop and chat. The second of my next door neighbour's partner who went into a diabetic coma and never came out. He had other issues too. Lifted him up off the floor several times when he had fallen. Quite a sad end.
So its off to church later, although more from duty than desire.
Hugs and spoons as always
