Child tax credit overpayment how to pay it back ?

Hi 

Hopefully I'm on the right board, did a search the forums and the last was a few years ago 

My Daughter in law has 2 children 15 and 12 years old, 

My son is none tax payer 

She is paye and earns £62,000 per annum so not entitled to the money she gets for the kids and she knows that but despite asking for it to be stopped 

She keeps receiving it and can't find a way to pay it back, has tried phoning but never gets  an answer 

She can see all the details on Government gateway and can't understand why the different pages can't be linked so the overpayment can be deducted from her wages 

Any idea would be very welcome

She needs to register for self assessment and complete a self assessment tax return , which  will raise a charge to repay the amount.

It cannot be included in the tax code as liability to the charge is based on net adjusted income, which is not necessarily the same as taxable income.

The title of your thread asks about child tax credits, do you mean child benefit?

Errr not sure Maybe 

She mentioned both child benefit and tax credit but I believe it's only none of them but which I don't know I'm not up to speed with that
