TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Magic Radio x Guys & Dolls Competition – 22nd March – 31st March 2023” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	Entries are restricted to one entry per person.   Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:   (A)    Online competition at Latest Competitions News | Competitions Articles - Magic Radio (planetradio.co.uk)   (B)    On-Air competition Phone in between 6 am and 10 am 27th-31st March Monday to Thursday on 03444 777 888, which will be charged at your standard network rate.   Online entry is free of charge. Phone calls are charged at your standard network rate.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	There will be 6 winners of the Competition. There will be one winner online and five winners on air.   ONLINE COMPETITION AND HOW TO WIN: Open from: 22nd March 2023 at 00:01 Closes: 31st March 2023 at 11:59 Entrants will go to Magic.co.uk win page and answer a question on the Guys & Dolls competition page. All valid entries who correctly answer the question will be pooled and 1 winner will be chosen by electronic random draw on 10th April 2023.   THE ON AIR COMPETITION AND HOW TO WIN Open from: 27th March 2023 Closes: 30th March 2023   The competition will air during the Magic Radio Breakfast show which takes place between 6 am and 10am Monday - Friday. Exact timings of the competition within this broader timeframe will be given on air by the presenter. When the presenter announces that the competition is open, anyone wishing to take part in the competition should phone the Magic studio on 03444 777 888. Any calls received after the studio lines close, will not be accounted for within the draw but may still be charged. Phoning the studio or speaking to a member of the production team does not guarantee that you will win the prize. Entrants will be selected at random by the producer and we will bring two listeners to air. The order of play will be at the producer’s discretion. We will ask each of the entrants to ‘Roll the Dice’ which the producer will do, to select a category of questions from pop knowledge to geography or general knowledge for example. There will be 6 categories in total. We will ask both entrants 5 questions and the first to answer 3 correctly is the winner. If there is a tie there will be a tie break question decided by the producer. Each day, Monday-Friday, there will be one winner, 5 on-air winners in total. Friday’s contestants will be selected on Thursday so that we can pre-record the competition. Only upon being brought to air and being told that they are the winner, will an entrant become a winner. All final decisions will rest with the Magic Radio Production team. The Magic Radio Production team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.   If the contestant wins a prize and it is subsequently discovered that they do not fulfil these specific terms and conditions, nor the general competitions terms and condition, they will be disqualified. 3. ENTRY PERIOD	Entries must be submitted during the following entry period: Online: From [22nd March 2023 and 00:01] (the “Start Time”) to [31st March 2023 and 23:59] (“End Time”). Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.   However if the winners cannot be contacted within [14] days from the date of [the initial attempt to contact them] then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.   On air: In the Magic Breakfast show on Monday 27th March – Thursday 30th March 2023 between 6 am and 10 am. If for any reason the call drops out or we are unable to contact an entrant the production team reserves the right to re-draw another entrant.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged [18] years or over on date of entry. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.
5. THE PRIZE	6 winners will receive the following prize (the “Prize”):   Online: There will be one winner online of: Prize: A pair of VIP tickets to Guys and Dolls at The Bridge Theatre London to be used Monday -Thursday performances only, excluding school holidays (3-13 April, 29 May-1 June, 24 July-31 August 2023) and subject to availability up until 2ndSeptember 2023. An overnight stay for 2 people at The Tower Hotel, London. Hotel costs will be for room only and any additional expenditure will need to be covered by the winners themselves. The stay is based on two people sharing a double bed or twin room and is subject to availability. Not valid of UK Bank Holiday weekends. At least one of the guests must be over 18 years of age. The hotel stay must be used on the same day as  the theatre tickets. £200 pp cash towards travel/food. AKA will provide the whole prize, Bauer Media are not responsible or any aspect of the prize   On-air:  There will be 5 winners on-Air – one each day Monday – Friday of: Prize: A pair of VIP tickets to Guys and Dolls at The Bridge Theatre London to be used Monday -Thursday performances only, excluding school holidays (3-13 April, 29 May-1 June, 24 July-31 August 2023) and subject to availability up until 2ndSeptember 2023. An overnight stay for 2 people at The Tower Hotel, London. Hotel costs will be for room only and any additional expenditure will need to be covered by the winners themselves. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 2.       INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

3.       MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
