If the alarms are all inter-linked (as they probably should be) then perhaps a hidden CO alarm is triggering the rest to sound?
As mentioned above, if you ask your local Fire Service to do a check, I am sure they will be glad to help and might pick up other issues that they can give you advice on.0 -
I don't think you can replace the batteries in these, look like the 10 year sealed lithium battery versions.
the blue light, any pictures? It could be a radio base, used to connect to the other alarms wirelessly. radio bases have now been replaced with these things that go inside the detectors, I'm not sure if they have a visible blue light on the side though?0 -

bear in mind that even mains alarms should be changed every ~10 years as the sensors degrade/have a lifespan.0
