They're obliged to disclose all personal data they've retained in response to a SAR, but aren't actually required to present such data in statement form, so could satisfy their legal obligations with a lengthy linear transaction list rather than a collection of monthly formatted files, for anyone to whom that distinction is important.TheBanker said:If you really need statements after closing an old account, you can obtain them from the old bank. A good point, I guess it depends on whether the person who's transferred their account without keeping copies of their statements needs details of transactions or needs a proper bank statement.eskbanker said:
