Winner of the Estrella Dam ‘one-to-watch’ award in January, The Victoria in Oxshott is rapidly making a name for itself. London food critics have raved about the food – Grace Dent even went back for seconds, and raved about it all over again.

Some pubs are definitely worth going out of your way for. And The Victoria in the well-heeled village of Oxshott is one of them.

It’s the first pub from Matt Larcombe and Simon King – a dynamic duo and brilliant team. Matt was the former head chef and managing director at Heston Blumenthal’s The Crown in Bray and Simon used to be the operations director for the Gordon Ramsay Group.

Local provenance and originality are high on the agenda, but the interiors are unpretentious and there’s a relaxed vibe. It’s ideal for a special occasion, especially one of the private dining rooms for up to eight. Read our full review here.
