Tsb ruined credit

Last April my son in law closed an inactive tsb account. There was nothing in it as far as he was aware and that was that.
Today him and my daughter are applying for their mortgage and he had an adverse high risk event from that closure.
We don't really understand what had happened, what they can do and if this can be removed.
We're after advice as they've saved so hard for this and suddenly it's all shattered from closing an account.

Contact TSB to find out what it's for?
Issue a formal complaint to TSB, then the FOS and ICO2 -
First of all - Remove your son in laws name, address and date of birth from the screenshots.Post reported to get these details removed incase OP doesn't come back.0
