Not sure how to class my employment...

Hi all,
I'm going through a few changes in life and my 'job' status has changed. I'm trying to update my Credit Club details and i'm not sure what to class myself as when it asks about employment. I'm currently receiving 3 different pensions, and have a flat that has tenants so receive rent from that also. I also have a couple of other small amounts coming in regularly. So my question is, am I employed? self employed? I'm 37, if that makes any difference. It's also quite difficult to answer people when they ask what I do for a living... What would you say if asked that?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Self employed landlord. Or retired, depending on the circumstances of you receiving pensions and the balance of the two income streams.
However, it only matters when you apply to a lender. You can put any old nonsense into the credit club.1 -
Thanks so much for your reply.
I'm not retired as such. I'm widowed and receive pensions from my late husbands pension provider.0 -
Hi
We put down, retired early. However, only you know your circumstances - ours are btl incomes, company pensions and savings incomes but no work.

Since you don't have a salaried job, you are not employed. You don't run a business, so you are not self-employed (rental income from one property does not generally count as running a business, unless it is your primary source of income). You appear to have what is rather quaintly called 'private means'.No free lunch, and no free laptop1
