Morning everyone
Bright and sunny here this morning - hope it lasts so we get a play outside this afternoon. Yesterday was drizzly all day.
I have a few jobs to do this morning then work at lunchtime - DD will give me a lift down. My foot is still painful but not as bad as yesterday - still swollen though with a big purple bruise. I keep rubbing Ibuprofen gel on it.
I think I might make corned beef hash for tea - no idea when I last made it but not for a long time.
Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Hi everyone,
I lost a post yesterday and it was so boring I couldn't be bothered to retype it.
Carolbee, have a lovely day, it sounds fab.
TA and poppy, enjoy your lunches.
Ruby, I'm glad your mum is feeling a bit better.
Nelski, grr to the taxi firm.
Laura is about to go out with Esther, Esben has gone to nursery and Steve is golfing, Brian was supposed to go to the gym but Laura needs the car and the cleaner is here. I shall probably go and start tidying the garden, it needs it.
I have fed the sourdough starter in prep for the next baking and I want to bake a cake of some description. We had meatballs with orzo from the Persiana everyday cookbook, very easy and tasty, it's become my fave cookbook. Tonight will probably be fish.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning all, it's stopped raining at present but I don't know if it will last, it rained nearly all day yesterday and again last night. This morning I have stripped the bed and put the bedding in the wm but I don't know whether to chance putting it out because there's a good breeze and intermittent sun now 🤔 I'll let the bed air for a bit then re-make the bed.
Later we have to collect DGD from school as she rang us yesterday and said she had no-one to pick her up today, then followed by could she stay for tea and have her favourite pizza 😂. DD will pick her up when she comes home from school about 4.30pm. Hope you have a better day with the children Camelot and dp1.
dp1 hope the foot gets better asap.
Coxy hope the sore throat clears off soon.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones.

Morning
Catching up a bit today washing, kitchen bin runs la di da Not raining here yet which Im grateful for as I wobble to the bins!
Need to sort the fridge out today ....lots of old dead things to fling probably (bad mser again) I'm finding my energy is ok in the morning so I need to make the most then afternoon I'm wiped out. Appetite still not back to normal yet but forcing myself to eat something cereal is a saver. Last night was a cheese wrap which mostly got binned. Tonight may be a burger or some fish fingers.
Have a good day all

Morning..Took my birthday friend out to three GCs yesterday, first one for compost for seeds and some other plants [cough cough], second one for the cakes and free coffees [yes, I joined Dobbies, got my two free hot drinks] and some knocked down plants, then the third one for the cheap pots and plants. We also went to a warehouse type place that has a shop run by a friend of a friend but we'd been out for longer than we thought and it was shut. Today I'm paying for the walking with a bad ankle again but hey ho, I'm still going to make it worse by playing in the garden...
I think I'm going to make a kind of rockery type thing but with a water reservoir in it so they don't dry out when it's sunny [ that's hope for you] I got some aubretia I want to stick between the clay tiles to see if that will do it's thing and I have a hebe to dig up to give to another friend. Busy day...
Nels, what a pita, bloody thoughtless gits....dp1, hpe your foot improves soon camelot, that's why I could never work with kids, they just annoy me by even being let alone when they're naughty. TA, I really feel for your friend but it's so good that she's being as she is, I hope you can enjoy at least one meal out with her soon. There's a lot of illness and not feeling totally well going round at the moment isn't there, hope you all improve soon, it's no fun being poorly. Take care all....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10 -
Hi! Just a thought TA so apologies if you’ve already come up with this - could you and your other friend take a picnic or high/cream tea to your poorly friend? She would then only need to save some energy for your visit rather than lots of energy for the actual going out as well as the meal?⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering
