Thanks, everything for the last three years was done for him under POA so we know exactly how his finances stand. I just wanted to check we had everything covered.We'll look at what to do with the discretionary trust, as it's so small I expect we'll want to wind it up as soon as we can.0

I would expect there are very few cases where such a notice is worthwhile. If somebody was, say, self-employed, and died suddenly with chaotic finances, then it might be more likely that a creditor could crawl out of the woodwork, but even then anybody keen to get their money will have made themselves known during the months of administration of the estate. Creditors are generally going to be the obvious usual suspects - banks, utilities, landlords etc.0
