Complaints The Royal Mint?

Hi, I've had an issue with paying out from my Royal Mint account gold investments. I've complained directly, but got no joy. I used resolver to try and progress the issue,  but it turns out there is no way to escalate to any sort of ombudsman. And when I phoned them asking for their complaints procedure they were unable to inform me as to who regulates their complaints. I was simply given the email address headofcustomerservices@royalmint.com. So does anyone know if they have some sort of regulatory body, as I seem to be getting no where. Thank in advance.

I don't believe they're regulated and can't find any reference to ADR or suchlike from a quick look at their published terms, so you're probably restricted to court action if they're demonstrably in breach of contract.

As they are wholly owned by HM Treasury. You could try a letter to your MP.
  • Thanks eskbanker and MX5huggy. That seems to be in line with what I've found out too. Though I find it hard to believe they can get away with minor breaches without much come back.

But it's the same in any other business operating in an unregulated industry?
