Hi, on my mortgage offer it is under the special conditions that I pay 2 loans off prior to completion. I have done these and they show on my credit report as closed. Do I need to give additional evidence and if so, to my solicitor or the mortgage lender?

I was just asked to send screenshots of my online banking showing things were paid off to the bank via the mortgage broker0

Your solicitor will just ask for evidence of it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Or probably not, given it's a Halifax condition which doesn't actually require the borrower to produce any evidence or the solicitor to do anything.ACG said:Your solicitor will just ask for evidence of it.
Which is what I told the OP when they asked the same question the other week...

A couple of lenders put the onus on the applicants, most lenders need proof either directly or via the solicitor. The solicitor may still request it. But yes, Halifax tend to be a little lax on it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
