My claim from Blemain and Noble Solicitors

In March 2022 I had a phone call from a company called Secret Commissions saying that another company I was dealing with had gone under which is true. They then said that in 2007 I had taken out insurance to do with a mortgage with Blemain and I was owed money from them. I paid off the mortgage in 2008. After months of going back and forward they said an insurance policy for £4000 had been taken out to go after Blemain. I then received a phone call saying that Noble solicitors were handling it and another phone call from Secret Commissions saying I would not have to worry about the insurance policy as a different solicitor would handle it. When I call the company they said it was rubbish and Noble will be handling it. So in September 2022 the solicitor Paul Angel at Noble sent me an email with an attachment from a barrister about the situation. I never heard anything after that and I phoned Mr Angel in November and he said they would send a letter to Blemain in two weeks telling them they had 42 days to respond. The letter went out in December and I heard nothing so at the beginning of February I called again as it was not 42 working days, also if I had not phoned them the letter would never had gone out. Mr Angel said we should give it a bit more time but I have heard nothing and it is now nearly the end of March. By the way, I was told that the amount would be £38,000 and I would be left just under £24,000.

If you have a complaint about your mortgage or anything else, you write directly to the lender, telling them what your complain it.
But firstly, find out what you have signed up to ask this other company to do and what the cancellation terms are. There is probably no money owed to you, so your aim now is to close this out without having to pay additional fees.
Don't sign up to any more companies telling you that you're owed money.0
