Carer's Allowence Replacement

I am currently getting Pip. I am not entitled to any other benefits as there is too much money coming into the house hold.

Since I have been on pip,  my daughter has been claiming carer's allowence. She just took on more hours at work and is now making above the threshold to claim. Is there a way to claim anything other than carer's allowance if no one is getting it?

Are you living with a partner? If not then others living in your house do not affect the amount of benefits you maybe entitled to. Use a benefits calculator to check entitlement to Universal Credit for yourself. If you live with a partner you'll need to claim as a couple and your joint circumstances will be taken into consideration. If you have savings/capital of more than £16,000 you're excluded from claiming. https://www.entitledto.co.uk

For your daughter, she will need to contact carers allowance and tell them her earnings are above the maximum amount, if she hasn't already. The only other benefit that maybe possible for her is Universal Credit. She should use a benefits calculator to check entitlement.

When did you last employ earning employment?
Have you checked your forecast State Pension?
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
  • I presume that your question is about what else your daughter can claim as opposed to what else you can claim?

If so, your daughter's only other option is Universal Credit. If she does apply and is successful, please make sure that she asks for Carers element to be added.

No I was wondering if there was a fund or something for people that don't have official carers.

The relevant benefit before would have been the Severe Disability Premium of income-related ESA *if* you didn't live with any other (nondisabled) adults and nobody claimed anything for caring for you.  So not something you'd have qualified for even if any new claims were still possible.
