Morning all, dull & drizzly here. I had a lie in today until nearly 8 - unheard of recently but we don't have to be at DGS football until 12. No idea why it's so late. He had a great time on his school trip. They were a bit late back so a bit of a wait outside school but I got a great big hug and the biggest smile so well worth the wait! He also gave his approval of the new van
There was an accident on the way over to DS so it took over an hour to get there due to the build up of traffic. DGD was busy getting ready for her training session , will have to catch up properly tomorrow.
Snoozer- happy belated birthday for yesterday.Taff , what a lovely present you made for your friend.Got a marks curry for tea, cheaper than a takeaway, not as good as our favourite but it's been a dear week with replacing the van so needs must.Hope Mum is feeling better soon RR. DGS mum had it last week and is still coughing.Right I have to load some wood inside for the log burner. Hope you all have a good day x

Hi everyone,
Thank you for the good wishes, I had a lovely day. We had a very good pre-theatre dinner and then the show was really good. It was Allegiance, a musical about the Japanese internment camps in WWII America starring George Takei (Sulu from Star Trek), based on his experiences. The theatre was very intimate with the actors on a level with the first row and we were in the first row. At one point George Takei sat no more than a couple of feet from us, very surreal as I've been a real Trekkie since I was a teenager.
We're meeting Chris and Crystal in Cambridge for a family lunch today so I am looking forward to that (a celebration of mother's day as well).
Have a good day.12 -
Morning all, it's raining again. After yesterday's disruption we didn't have the meatballs as I cooked them too late, so that's tea sorted for today and I only have the pasta to cook. Today's tasks include doing a load in the wm, but there's zero chance of hanging it out, then hoover through downstairs and dance around with the duster.
Lots of talking about running here today, I have a dodgy knee so that's my excuse, but I can go walking with poles though ( the sticks 🤨)
RedRuby I hope your Mum's symptoms are mild and that she get well asap.
Iris I hope you feel a bit more upbeat today.
Hugs to the poorly ones , their relatives and anyone feeling down in the dumps.
Take care all,

Morning folks and thanks GERS for starting us off. I'm late to the party today as I decided to get the 8.30 bus into town. I didn't want much and was soon back up again. I couldn't believe how warm it was with the sun shining! We don't get 2 days alike these days. Yesterday we had a beautiful sunny start and then by lunchtime we had hailstones battering the windows.
I could do with taking advantage of the nice weather and tidying the front garden up. The bane of my life! I'll see how I go in a bit, little bits at a time!
TAFF what a clever girl you are, the chopping board is lovely. I'm sure your DF will love it. RUBY your poor mum, I hope she is soon over the worst of the Covid. And I hope you avoid catching it too.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
