Hi I don't know if I am doing this in the right section.
I had a car accident 7 months ago and fractured my leg the hospital that I was under did not take good care of me. My fractured had become a non healing fracture. I have transferred my self to a different hospital GP did urgent refferal. But new hospital does not have capacity and can only offer a appointment with a orthopaedic in July at which point I will have a fracture for 9 months.
My question is that I will be putting in a claim compensation claim to the third party as accident was not my fault. Now can anybody advise if third party will pay privately for my care so I can be seen earlier as I will need surgery? Is it worth asking my solicitor as accident was due to there negligence third party have accepted liability.
Thanks

I think if you already have a solicitor, you would be best off seeking their advice. It’s probably not something many people on here have much knowledge of about. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
It is definitely worth speaking to your solicitor about this.
I have a no fault car accident injury claim going through the system, one of the things offered to me was private "treatment advice" free of charge as part of the claim.

Hi OP
There is only one way forward even if you don't have a solicitor atm, consult one, best way forward as its a complex matter
Good luck0 -
Talk to your solicitor. Also, find out what the additional cost is of getting the treatment privately. It's worth considering whether it is worth it to you to get it done for your own comfort and wellbeing even if you can't later get the money (or all of it) backAll posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
