had my virgin+ box installed today and everything was fine.
when the wife got home i was showing her around the menus (we had virgin before so knew most of it).
on the settings page we linked to the display/audio settings.
the system was set up on HD DEFINITION (cant remember the right name) i selected HDMI composite, okayed this etc and now i have no visual output to the screen.
it appears i still can change channel etc as the box display responds but i cannot see anything.
i cant even seem to get the setting changed by re-stepping my way blind through the process.
i have disconnected power etc, reset and the like but still nowt.
virgin can send an engineer but not till saturday.
any ideas?

I found this on the cable forums
"Reset the box as soon as you hit reset, hold down play/pause and stop.
Keep them help down for about 40 seconds till the display says outpt (if you see numbers start again).
Use the ffwd button till it says SD now press OK.
Switch to your AV channel for scart and then you'll get a picture.""...IT'S FRUITY!"0 -
A slightly different version (also direct quote)
"Hold in the Stop and Play/Pause buttons on the front panel, and press Reset.
Keep Stop and Play/Pause held in until the display says 'boot'.
After a few seconds the display should say 'outpt'.
Press the Fast Forward button several times until the display says 'Sd', then press OK "

your a star.
it worked... to a point.
when i put it on SD i had a picture but no sound. the only options i had in the setting were composite or rgb. no HDMI.
i did the restart again and chose an option of what looked like hdri (pathetic screen type) meant HDMI.
all singing and dancing now
thank you for the help.
have a very nice xmas and good new yearfatblokexl:EasterBun:0
