Holiday accrue during notice period?

Well we have just found out that a lot of people have been put at risk. More than 20 so theres a 30 day consultation period.

I just have a question about accruing holiday as im just trying to work out what im entitled to if i am made redundant.
I've been at the company 11 years so entitled 11 weeks notice and we dont believe they will ask us to take holidays in the notice period and will pay them.

Our holiday entitlement runs from Jan 

They are planning to give notice at the end of April. Would i be accruing holidays from Jan to end of April or am I entitled to accrue holidays in the notice period also? So in my case mid July?

    Yes you would accrue leave entitlement during notice period, but your employer can ask you to use some of them up during that time. It might be deemed unreasonable (by a tribunal for example) if you took no leave at all between January and mid-July - especially if you had a pattern of doing so in previous years.

    Secondly if you have a term in your contract for PILON (pay in lieu of notice) then you would not accrue that extra leave of they toom advantage of that clause and paid you for early leaving.
