Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very damp start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was pork steaks braised in stock with potatoes, veg and gravy, lovely it was too.
Have several chores to do today so will get going with them.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Still raining but much milder this morning, washing is on the airer and pulley, seemed to have a lot all of a sudden.
Lovely catch up with a good friend last night after my haircut although it turned into a later night than I expected, glad it's Friday!
Well done on the run Coxy, something I've never been able to do.
More shed roofing Nanny? You'll have to go into business!
Housework tonight so it's all done for the weekend then I can relax.
Hope everyone is well and has a happy Friday, take care. XX12 -
Morning all just having a cuppa its mild with the odd bit of rain yesterday was lovely we had the back door open most of the day .DH managed to put my light fitting and rad cover up in the hallway and the new display unit and bookcase arrived to sit in the alcoves either side of the chimney breasts I finally feel like i am getting somewhere after nearly 2 years , still no word from the landscaper oh well can't win them all .
Today is bedding change day other than that not a lot ham egg and chips for dinner
Nanny what is the fascination for getting on roofs if i didn't know better i would think you did it so you could be rescued by the local firemen
Have a good day whatever you are up to stay safe dry and warm xxSlava Ukraini13 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's a nice morning here, the sun is shining. Yesterday wasn't too bad after a wet start.
Well, I cleaned those blooming windows yesterday, I was sick of hearing myself on about them - TA and Nanny, I'll get to you eventually!
I made a couple of cards as well, which I haven't done for a while for some reason.
I'm now seeing space in my freezer, like TA , so I'm going to keep on using as much as as I can. I was keeping an inventory, but it didn't work for me because I kept forgetting to update it.
Don't know what's happening today, no particular plans.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks, whatever you. are doing today.13 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. No heating on this morning! That'll do nicely! It's currently sunny but, of course, that's set to change later when rain arrives.
The girlies finally went home early evening yesterday and I took stock of the freezers. I went in panic mode and did an emergency order for delivery this morning! I am not happy when there are gaps in them! Delivery due 8.00 onwards. My intentions of getting stocks down never happens. If I had a shop nearby maybe I wouldn't panic so much but if I run out of anything it means a bus ride into town. When we moved up here in 1980 there were a few little shops dotted around but, as everywhere, these are long gone.
There is also the Friday Tidy to do and it's much needed so a busy day in store. Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better and MIA. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning folks. No sun here, the sky is grey and watery. After heavy drizzle for most of the morning yesterday the day was mild and almost lovely. Like Bella I had an open door in the afternoon. Weirdly there was an out of the blue torrential downpour at about 6.15pm which lasted for five minutes and interrupted the TV signal for its duration.I went up to Oban for some shopping and collect my new trainers. The drive was miserable in the rain on the way up and more pleasant on the way home. It was lovely to have a big bowlful of my homemade soup for my lunch. This morning I'll have my weekly phone call from Australia then I'm going for lunch with friends, a casual affair, which will make me very happy.Scarlet - job well done!Hugs to all our poorlies. Happy St. Patrick's Friday.14

Morning all and thanks for the thread @nmlc x
I am aching this morning! Just shows how unfit I am lol. I still have this pesky sore throat and it’s been a week now – very annoying.
Enjoy your lunch out @Gers. I too am meeting a friend this lunchtime.
Good to see @nannywindow and Mr Fix It and @ScarletRibbons with their new business ventures of roofing and window cleaning. You are clear candidates for the Daily Thread contingent of retirees returning to work (being very ironic here btw).
Glad the house is coming together @bellabella.
We saw Champions at the cinema last night – got home later than planned so DH had an omelette for dinner and I had some peppermint tea. We will have the sweet chilli chicken tonight.
Hope all the poorlies are doing okay and have a good day all.
