Cash App itself is available in the UK if you wanted to use it - I actually have an account with them, from a YouTuber referral bonus a couple of years back.

  • I looked in their website and they said you need to be in the USA, I will check again, thanks @ForumUser7

Can you send / receive money through cash app without sharing personal details?

No worries - If you download the app on your App Store, it should let you sign up from the UK. Also, the Wikipedia page says “Cash App is a mobile payment service available in the United States and the United Kingdom” so perhaps the US website had loaded up for you.

I think you can with something called ‘cashtag’ but I don’t use it myself - I got my referral bonus and then haven’t used it since. If you mean about not sharing personal details with cash app themselves though, I think you would need to so they could fulfil regulatory requirements - but I don’t recall being asked for ID

  • Thanks, very helpful
I meant sharing personal details such as name / address etc with people for transactions, not cash app - I'd be worried if they didn't want to know who I am
