Convert to jpeg.

Hi all
I have a collection of files that are saved in various formats. I'm after a cheap (preferably free), without registering for a trial...converter.

The online website will only accept file types: BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, TIF, TIFF. 
Jpeg seems to be "commonly acceptable" on all websites. To give an idea of scale we are talking minimum 200 files (adobe seems costly)...possibly 1000files to convert, big scale eh?

https://www.irfanview.com/ has a batch conversion option.  You can just chuck a bunch of files at it, tell it what you want the output to be and it'll do it all for you.

Irfanview is great - and if for some reason you can't get along with it there are lots of other free alternatives, e.g. XnConvert

I don't suppose you know a few instructions?

that is (sorry)...click on the file to be converted, right click the mouse (for options), ,,,thats as far as i got
