Energy Price Guarentee
I thought the energy price guarantee £2500 means that we don't pay more than this amount, for the year on our electricity and gas. Im paying £800 direct debit, (£9600 a year) for combined gas/electricity for a normal house. Were all out at work during the day and we don't always have the heating on. So where does the price guarantee come into place. Maybe Im not understanding what it means. Help!!!

This guide needs updating for the section on Northern Ireland as the EPG is reducing from April here (quite a bit for electricity!).0

The £2500 is the cost for 12000KWh gas and 2900KWh electrcity. It is used to calculate the unit rates.
If you use more than the above you will pay more. £800 DD sounds either like a wrong DD or excessive use.
What was your usage for the last 12 month?0
