Child Benefit claims

Hi all
Bit worried that we could have been claiming child benefit and never have!
DS is 4 (5 in July)
DD is 3 (4 in December)
I earn £82k per year, my partner earns about £750 per month, so £9k per year.
I have been told previously that as I earn over £50k we can't claim but someone said that if my partner claimed, as she is under the weekly threshold then we could be eligible for around £30 per week per child. Is this right?
If so, I reckon we've missed out on quite a bit of child benefit over the years!
Thanks

In some circumstances it's beneficial to claim (even if paid back) due to NI credits towards SP.
In this case though, unlikely, as the partner is earning and above the NI LEL

Thnaks
I'm also thinking that perhaps if we did claim and then i repay on self assessment, then we could earn a bit of interest on the credits in the meantime
