Lasting Power of Attorney for a married couple

1) Does each partner in a marriage need their own LPA or can just one LPA be nominated to act jointly for the couple?

2) After completing all of the docs and registering a LPA, What happens if the LPA's own personal circumstances change in such as change of address, do we need to do the registration again or will they remain an accepted LPA from the original registration for the lives of the doners regardless of their own personal change of circumstance?

You need individual LPAs. The OoPG only need notification of a change of address for donors or attorneys no need for new ones.

For (2) you would need to update the OPG with new address. New application not needed.

two LPAs each - health and welfare and financial/property. Have two attorneys acting 'joint and several' - having just the spouse as attorney will make the LPA fail if the attorney dies first or loses capacity.
