Guess this all depends on the network speeds in your area. I suggest getting the various networks tested for speed... then do with an unlimited plan on the network of choice. Try to go for a monthly rolling contract, then if the signal goes crap, you can move to another network easily.
All monthly rolling unlimited data:-
Asda mobile £20 - 5G to 2mbps
Asda mobile £22 - 5G to 10mbps
Asda mobile £24 - 5G to 150mbps
ID mobile £16 - 5G
Lebara £25 - 5G
Lyca mobile £14.90 (for 3 months then £21.90) - 4G
Smarty £16 - 4G

have just had a quick read on asda, unlimited data, amazing,
how good would my computer at home work using the sim data?
guess the phone battery would drain if using the data?
and how does it work? how do you link the computer to the phone sim?
or is it better to get a router for home internet and sim for the phone seperate?need to do better0 -
Data speeds indoors can be very variable so tethering a computer to a mobile phone may not give you all you require.
What exactly do you need to do on your computer ?
Most smartphones have the ability to act as a WiFi hotspot, your phone connects to the mobile data network as usual and then transmits/receives to/from your home devices over WiFi.
In my Android phone USB tethering is also possible so my laptop can be connected by cable to the phone, this also means that the phone can charge from the laptop USB port at the same time.
I used that method on a meagre 10 mbps data connection when away in Thailand and could happily stream programmes from TV Mucho.0 -

Your broadband will run at the speed of the lowest common denominator.. either the 5G signal to the mobile, or the wifi from hotspot to computer. No one can tell you what speeds you will get, only way to find out is to try it and see.0 -
The best internet service for both mobile and home use depends on several factors, including your location, data needs, budget, and personal preferences.
When choosing the best internet service, consider your internet usage patterns, required speeds, coverage in your area, and any budget constraints. Research and compare plans from different providers, read customer reviews, and consider bundled packages that offer both mobile and home internet services. Additionally, consider any special deals or promotions that may be available for new customers.
Ultimately, the best internet service for you will depend on finding the right balance between performance, coverage, and cost to meet your specific needs for both mobile and home connectivity.
