Homeserve Boilers increased the price AFTER I agreed to the fixed price quote and had credit check

Hello,
I recently got a quote from Homeserve for a new boiler. I was told that the quote was a fixed price quote. After agreeing to go ahead, a hard credit check was performed, only for them to come back and say that an engineer had reviewed and decided there would be more work involved so they were increasing the price. I was not happy as the credit check had already been performed at this point.
Is there anything I can do to get this credit check removed from my report?
I have opened a complaint with Homeserve, who say that at the start of the call when they roll off the terms & conditions they say the quote is a fixed price after engineer review. However, several times after this I was told by the agent that it was a fixed price quote (asked him to confirm too) and no further mention was made of an engineer review when we discussed it being a fixed price quote.

I'd be more upset at the price increase than the search, different strokes I guess.
Have you asked them to explain the price increase in detail, are you still happy to go ahead with it? One search will make little to zero difference to your credit history, don't worry about it.0
