I’ve received this email from BG and I want to check if I’ve understood it please.
So tomorrow, if I get my energy usage down to 0.19 KWh during 6.30 - 7.30 pm, I’ll earn 0.57p . Is that right?
Thanks

I believe BG do the in-day adjustment (like Octopus and Loop for example) which means they will take the average of the above normal usage for the 3 hours starting 4 hours before the Peak Save session (so 2.30pm to 5.30pm tomorrow) and add that to your base usage for the PS session. So, for example, if you use 9 kWh extra in those 3 hours then they add 3 kWh to your base, which means that if you cut usage for the hour saving period you could earn over £18.
But if I've got it wrong that BG use In Day Adjustment I would be grateful if somebody could let me know

Hi,
you have misunderstood.Deleted_User said:I’ve received this email from BG and I want to check if I’ve understood it please. So tomorrow, if I get my energy usage down to 0.19 KWh during 6.30 - 7.30 pm, I’ll earn 0.57p . Is that right? Thanks
You have to reduce your usage by 0.19kWh down to 0.45 kWh to receive £0.57, but even with no saving you will get £1 credit just for taking part. You may have missed out this time as you had to accept offer before midnight.1 -
Ok, thank you so much for explaining this to me. I did sign up for the offer, just out of curiosity, so I can see how much l’ll earn and if it’s worth the time.frugalmacdugal said:Hi,

Just to update and close this thread. I’ve participated in two BG peak save sessions, which lasted an hour for each session. The first session earned me £5 (£2.50 with double bonus) and the second session earned me £1.92 (£0.64p with triple bonus) I acted in the same way for both sessions, but the second session paid less even with triple bonus. Anyway, I’m not querying the discrepancy, but I don’t think it was really worth it, especially without the added bonus paid.
