re undamaged stock that is brand new.
OP, good luck and honestly as I read the OP, my nose blocked up as I passionately hate the smell of smoke every since they banned smoking in the workplace and then pubs.
IMO, the seller was aware of it and should have said as much because the seller had to put it in another room
When we sell our items on ebay, I do bang on about coming from a smoke-free, pet-free and smell-free home as I know it matters to millions as some people like me and others dont like smells of that type or may be allergic.
See how it goes

Valid point but often related to thick plastic bags and those bin liners the large black sacks and rubble bags

Good point! This could be very likely...1 -
Well the smell on the PC has faded quite a lot since yesterday thankfully , so hopefully it will be gone tomorrow, box still smells but not as much and that is in the shed, the plastic wrapper in was in still smells tho, not sure if this is the culprit, but never known a clear plastic to smell only the black stuff0

Hopefully the smell will continue to disappear but if there is still a slight residual smell pop it outdoors in the sunshine on a sunny day. Fresh air & sunshine are a great sanitiser. Obviously don't leave it out for hours to get hot or damage the screen! It works very well with books and clothes. Good luck.1
