Moving a greenhouse

Options
I have a 8 x 8ft greenhouse, only a few years old and now I'm moving, 30 mins drive away.
Anybody got any idea of how much it will cost to dismantle, move and re erect it?

Ring a couple of man / women with van types and ask them, even better if they have a flat bed lorry and are very strong, they would take the glass out and just lift the frame on to lorry, tie it down and off to new place.

OH and I did our our selves, we took lot of photos, took us about 1/2 day to take apart, move, then 2 days to reassemble as it was a major cleaning job of the glass first, and we dismantled the frame to all go in the back of the car, (6 x 4)

Have you specified on the sales forms that the greenhouse is not included in the sale price?
I know it was a plus when I was looking at houses.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

The garden centre near us that acts as an agent for greenhouse suppliers has numbers for a couple of installers.  I paid about a quarter of the purchase cost to have one dismantled and secured for transport, but note that on some models if the base of the frame has been bolted or concreted you may end up needing to replace that.

Unless your greenhouse was really expensive, ie a Rhino, it may be cheaper to leave it and buy new

I'm getting a Rhino next month, which will be fitted by a Rhino approved erector.  I see from his website that he also does greenhouse moves and refurbishment - but based on the cost of erecting a new (6X6) greenhouse alone, dismantling, moving, cleaning and re-erecting, must be at least £1K.  Probably more for such a large greenhouse.

Plus, as has already been said, anyone who has viewed your house will almost certainly assume that the greenhouse is a fixture.
