Using karcher pressure washer 2
Comments

Depends on the model I'd say. If it's one of their basic lower-end entry models - then yes I'd not overuse it - but if it's one of their further up the range models I'd use it a little more. It's not often that people pressure wash continually for over 30 minutes though, most people stop every so often to sweep things up, move things about, and even just take a breather. (The lances vibrate/push back somewhat when at top pressure - so even you may need a rest.)
When I'm done with mine, I turn off the power at the switch, and the water at the tap, and then squeeze the trigger to release any pressure.
There's no tank.
Although the colder temperatures are (hopefully) soon to be behind us, you should also protect your unit from frost. If the internals freeze when there's water inside, it can damage the unit.2 -
I use one of the little Karcher K2 models for patio/block paving cleaning and generally never think about taking a break. I stop occasionally to move the unit to a new area, but that’s a matter of seconds. I just turn off the water and power and leave it outside. Never had a problem even following the recent cold snap. Probably best to keep it frost free though.1
