As my relative discovered. Told by the jeweller to get a realistic price, halve the insurance value and add 10% to get a rough idea of what it might sell for.

Did those values come from a jeweller or valuer you could give a call and ask how to sell?

I took a load of jewelry to a very reputable local jewelry shop. He gave me double what I was expecting so my advice is go to 2 or 3 local reputable jewelers first and see what they will offer you0
