Help with pattern

Part of the Furniture 100 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I am looking to make a vest type jumper using DK wool.
I want it to be in Garter stitch and very basic with no ribs.
All the free patterns online seem to use a circular needle.
I just want to use bog standard ordinary two needles.
Can any one help me, please?
Keep on trucking!

I'm very surprised that there aren't 'traditional' (2-needle) patterns out there.

If you haven't already, sign up to Ravelry (it's free) and you can filter for things like Free patterns only, yarn gauge and even how much wool you have to work with. Or try https://www.vam.ac.uk/articles/1940s-knitting-patterns (not a circular needle in sight!)

Failing that, you could adapt one of the circular needle patterns, it's a bit of a faff but not that hard.

I have unfond memories of fishnets from wearing them in the 80's - like wearing cheesegraters on your feet!

Must be said, the balaclavas with the earholes always look comical to me - I associate them with the 2 Ronnies 'tramp' characters
