new toilet recommendation

Hi,

I'm planning to replace my toilet.  Can anyone recommend any brand please?  My budget is £180 max.  I saw severals at B&Q, and Screwfix online but the reviews are not great.  There are other online shops but again the review for the shops itself are not great so I'm not really confident making a purchase.  I have a traditional close couple with flush lever at the moment but looks like it'll be out of date soon.

Most important is the toilet does its job 😅, flush and fill the water properly.  I also saw a of toilets are rimless now,  are they any good?

Thanks in advance

Sanova, the lever ones are still easily available if you want one.
Even different levers. I prefer them because i find ther are fewer problems and when there arw, easier to fix

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Depending on how old you are, you may want to consider comfort height toilets. These are about 5cm higher than standard toilets and are easier on the knees to stand up from.

We've just installed  Grohe Bau rimless toilet; it has a great flush and is easy to clean.  So good we're going to replace the one in our en-suite that takes at least two flushes to do the job!  If you shop around you should find it for about £200 - that extra £20 is soon saved in not having to flush twice!
  • Definitely consider comfort height as Slinky says. One day you’ll be old and creaky enough to appreciate how marvellous they are 😁
mine are rimless as well and they are much easier to clean, and they do the job fine.
  • Another vote for Grohe Bau.
Although you're supposed to be able to quickly release the seat for ease of cleaning but I never figured out how.

    Hi OP

Chech the hight of the toilet as some are low very low.

You can impeove the higher by about 20mm-35mm with a good seat but making smaller pans ie height is saving them money

We have friends that live i a certain part of london and the live i a 60's house - the pans are not only of good height but the aperture is bigger and they can get a seat to fit the exact outline,

There is some new type called 'rimless'. Its not a very good name but its a cracking design, the way the water flushes around the bowl means its much cleaner than a usual toilet.

We've just had three fitted, not used a brush once :0

These are Duravit ones, not sure if others have this design too, I'd assume so

We have  had  a couple of bathrooms done recently and have chosen back to wall style toilets from Ideal Standard,  both are the rimless design with Aquablade flush system.  They are certainly very easy to keep clean.
