I have a chromebook & android mobile which are synced. This morning somehow I removed/deleted a folder in Bookmarks, not realising what it was.
It so happened it was something I use daily on my chromebook as it held about a dozen links. Not till I logged in on chromebook did I see it had gone and the "penny dropped" to something I'd done earlier. A quick google suggests I could find and restore it, via clicking the three verticle dots top right then I see BOOKMARKS.
Bookmark Bar is ticked. Bookmark manager is NOT. If I tick Bookmark manager, it then displays my current Bookmarks which are along the top of screen horizontally.
So, at this pont I have no idea if there is a "deleted folders" bin. Is there?. If not, have I lost it for good. If so, I will have to spend the day trying to remember what was there or wait till I need the link.

Try your recycle bin. I don't know what a Chromebook is and whether or not it has one but worth a shot.1

Also see if there is a recycle bin on your phone1

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1

As an alternative could you look in your browsing History under recent tabs or full history for a reminder of the sites you visited."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein2

Even if the bookmarks are not recoverable, you can use the browser history to visit the websites and create new bookmarks. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?2

Thank you. Having read my original post, I omitted to say I'd deleted that folder when using my phone.
By chance I went in my EE shop today over something else. As no-one else was waiting to be served, I told them what I'd done. They were of the opinion that A) I couldn't in sync my two devices to prevent it happening again, anddoubted I'd retrieve it.
Whilst out, I was giving much thought to the lost links. Now at home, I'm using my phone as I've similar links on Home Screen0 -
Sorry, I don't think you can restore bookmarks in the Chrome browser unless you have saved a backup first.
