I did ask her about isolating the toilet and she doesn’t think there is an isolation valve but I’ll suggest she has another look as I think she was presuming rather than checking.

Managed to get the stopcock turned off with a lot of WD40 and turning on and off.
Weekend away still on then we can have a proper look at everything else suggested tomorrow. And hopefully by Monday her normal plumber will be able to get back to her.Thank you all for the suggestions, much appreciated. And I am going to have a look at the watermain, see what type of tap it is and buy a turny off thingy if I need to.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
