Loft insulation for attic room?

Hi. Does anyone know if you can get any grants for loft insulation in an attic bedroom? (Not low income or benefits)

Also, has anyone had this done in an attic bedroom and found it helped to avoid excessive heat and cold? Many thanks. Appreciate all input

I'm about to redo ours. It was done, poorly, by the previous owner. I expect it will make a difference both with heat and cold. 

I don't think grants are available unless you are on benefits.
