Does anyone own https://www.vax.co.uk/carpet-cleaners-and-washers/vax-smartwash-pet-design
If so is it as good as advertised and does it leave the carpets dry? I currently have the Bissell Stain Pro 6 and its a nightmare to use, doesn't pick up the water leaving the carpets soaking wet and doesn't clean well.

Have the lower version ECR2V1P and it leaves the carpets almost dry, to the point they are completely dry within an hour or so (only bought it as had borrowed a parents, and was impressed with it).

Funny enough I used to own a Vax carpet cleaner (not the pet version, just the Platinum) and I had to get rid of it just after the warranty expired. during the time it had gone through 3 new brush bars and I felt it never cleaned the carpet that well let alone take the water out. Have now got a Bissell Pro 6 (which you say is a nightmare) and it does a much better job! I agree though that it doesn't pick up water like I expect but the trick is to not wet the carpet too much - which is the same for most carpet cleaners.
Tbh, I think most household carpet cleaners are not as good as hiring one and are better for more regular use to stop the carpet getting too bad that it takes a lot of washing to get clean.
